You will get out of the car and explore the location for a pre-arranged amount of time. Then, you will return to the van at the same spot where the driver dropped you off.

Due to varying cell phone fees, we prefer using instant messaging apps such as WhatsApp or Telegram. If you have a preferred app you're more familiar with, just let us know before your arrival, and the driver can download and install it on his phone if it's available in Italy.
